JavaScript Slide Show
Our show and tell solution.

This is an example of our JavaScript Slide Show work. Optional features include: (1) a Thumbnail Image Navigation bar and (2) buttons to change the slide images and to toggle playing The Slide Show automatically. Normally having both would be overkill, but we include the "kitchen sink" here to illustrate what they do and how they keep in sync.

Using AJAX technology to asynchronously preload image data and manipulate the DOM (Document Object Model) makes the performance fast and snappy, but in a way that does not prevent users from interacting with the slide show until all of the images are loaded. Slide show data can come from a static database array, such as this one of Historical Photos, or be generated dynamically, for example, using PHP and mySQL.
